Bono Forgives Former U2 Stylist, Gets Stetson Back

Published: 2006-11-16
Bono won a court battle yesterday to retrieve his signature Stetson cowboy hat back. U2's former stylist Lola Cashman had said the singer had given the hat among other things to her during the Joshua Tree tour, the court however concluded that she had not been given the items in the first place.

Cashman put up the memorabilia for auction at Christie's in 2002, which caught the attention of U2's lawyers who then asked for them back. Cashman is suing the band for defamation over letters they sent asking for their things back, but U2, who are currently on tour in Australia said they won't be asking her for damages or costs.
