Johnny Cash Honoured with Star-Studded Video

Published: 2006-11-13
If the lineup of celebrities paying tribute to Johnny Cash is any indication of the country legend's influence, then he reached a wide and diverse audience.

A total of 36 musicians and actors appear in the video "God's Gonna Cut You Down," off of American V: A Hundred Highways, one of the last albums Cash recorded before his death in 2003.

Bono, Iggy Pop, Chris Martin, Keith Richards, Justin Timberlake and many more came together for the new video.

Tommy Lee to Amy Lee, Kid Rock to Chris Rock and even superstar Johhny Depp make cameos, proving the Man in Black touched all kinds.

In a nod to the man himself, all of the celebrities appear in black.

The video premiered last week on MTV. American V: A Hundred Highways was produced by Rick Rubin and came out earlier this year.
