Goo Goo Dolls To Play Ohio Benefit Show

Published: 2006-11-10
The Goo Goo Dolls are planning a performance in honour of a friend.

On December 6, the American rockers will play a benefit concert at the House of Blues in Cleveland, Ohio to raise money for the Rebecca Reichert Scholarship.

Reichert was a friend of drummer Mike Malinin. She created a scholarship at Ball State University to students wishing to pursue a major in music. Reichert, who was a music educator, established the scholarship before dying of cancer in October. She was 24.

All proceeds from the show will go directly to Reichert's family in support of the scholarship.

The band is currently on the road behind their latest release, Let Love In.
