Published: 2006-10-26
Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah Slean is getting set to release a new live record.

The follow-up to her last full-length studio release Day One will hit stores this Halloween. The album, called Orphan Music, contains both live and studio recordings but even in studio her sound is stripped down. The live performances are from concerts at Toronto's Harbourfront Centre Theatre and Vancouver's East Cultural Centre last year.

Here are the tracks on her upcoming release:

"Lucky Me"
"Somebody's Arms"
"Eliot" (with Blue Spruce Quartet)
"Last Year's War" (with Blue Spruce Quartet)
"Out In The Park"
"Narcolepsy Weed" (with Blue Spruce Quartet)
"The Score"
"Weight" (DNA Studio)
"Wilderness" (Kensaltown Studios)
"Little London" (Kensaltown Studios)
"California" (DNA Studio)
"Lucky Me" (DNA Studio)
"Pilgrim" (DNA Studio)

And if hearing her live on the album just isn't enough, this fall Slean will also tour behind the new release. Here are the dates she's confirmed so far:

November 26, Edmonton, AB - Myer Horowitz Theatre
November 27, Winnipeg, MB - West End Cultural Centre
December 1, Halifax, NS - Rebecca Cohen auditorium
December 2, Fredericton, NB - The Playhouse
December 3, St. John's, NL - Holy Heart of Mary Auditorium

According to a press release, other dates in Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City will be confirmed shortly.
