Rock Star Supernova Searching for Bassist, Rossi and Clarke Play in Canada

Rock Star Supernova became an official group when Newsted, drummer Tommy Before they even made it to the road, the newly formed Rock Star Supernova has lost bassist Jason Newsted.

Newsted injured his shoulder when he tried to catch a 90-pound bass head that fell from his amp. He is currently scheduled for surgery but with follow-up rehabilitation, the bassist may be out for up to nine months.

"I'm freaking out, my heart was set on finally getting on the road with these guys but my main focus now is to build myself back to 100%," Newsted said on the band's website.
Lee, and former Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke chose Canadian Lukas Rossi to front their band on the reality series Rock Star. With their debut album coming out November 21 followed by a North American tour, Newsted's injury means the band is temporarily looking for another bassist.

But it's not stopping the rest of the band from making appearances. Rossi and Clarke will be the featured guests at this year's Gemini Awards. This will be the pair's Canadian debut and they are planning to take to the stage for an acoustic performance. The Awards will air on Global on November 4.

ill bet ya 10 canadian dollars that newsted said "im outa here" when the choice of rossi was made to front the band. in my opionion jason didnt want rossi so he split.
