Published: 2006-10-25
Though the date of Gwen Stefani's sophomore solo release was pushed back because of the birth of her son, it's finally getting set to hit stores.

Known primarily as the lead singer of No Doubt, Stefani burst onto the solo scene with her 2004 record Love.Angel.Music.Baby.

Her upcoming disc The Sweet Escape is set to hit stores on December 5. The first single "Wind it Up" produced by the Neptunes is already making its way onto radio stations around the world and circulating online.

Aside from the first single Stefani worked with Neptune Pharell on a few other tracks including "Orange County Girl", "Yummy", "Candyland" and "Breaking Up". She also collaborated with No Doubt bandmate and her former mate Tony Kanal on "Fluorescent" and worked with Akon Swizz Beatz and Keane keyboardist Tim Rice-Oxley.

On December 5 she will also release a DVD from her last tour Harajuku Lovers Live which was shot in her hometown of Anaheim, California.
