Bloc Party Spend a 'Weekend in the City'

UK post punk band Bloc Party is set to release their sophomore album early next year.

The band's self-titled debut was released last February to critical acclaim being voted album of the year by UK music magazine NME. In August the album was released again, this time with each of the tracks remixed by artists like Mogwai, Ladytron and the now defunct Toronto indie band Death From Above 1979.

Their upcoming album A Weekend in the City is set for a February 6 release with the first single "The Prayer" hitting radio stations on January 29. If you've had a chance to see the band live you may have heard a new song or two like "Waiting For the 7:18" or "Hunting for Witches".

December 2, Vancouver BC - Pacific Coliseum
