Kodak To Bring Music Videos To The Cinema

Published: 2004-03-24
It used to be that in the days before cable, the movie theatre was where people could see the latest news in newsreels before the movie. Then came real cartoons – and not the dancing hot dogs and popcorn buckets. Now the Eastman Kodak Co. and Movie Tunes Inc. have teamed up to bring music videos into the theatre. The hour long program of music is (what else) aimed at the teen-aged movie and music fan. The program called "Music Scene" will feature new and developing bands and other musical interests of the young audience. Scheduled to begin in July, the program would play in prime time slots in order to entice young audiences to spend more time in the movie theatre. A new program would run each week.
