Corb Lund, Jann Arden Win Big at Western Canadian Music Awards

Singer-sonwriter Jann Arden and country rocker Corb Lund took home some Western Canadian Music Awards Sunday night (October 22).

Lund was honoured with three awardsósongwriter of the year, outstanding roots recording and best independent recording for his latest release Hair In My Eyes Like A Highland Steer.

Arden was named producer of the year along with Russell Broom and her self titled album received the honour of outstanding pop recording.

The awards, hosted by children's performer Al Simmons and Hot 103's Ace Burpee, took place in Winnipeg at the Burton Cummings Theatre.

The original members of Winnipeg's legendary rock band Harlequin were this year's addition to the Western Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
