Hawksley Workman Blasts Ear

Published: 2004-03-24
Canadian rocker Hawksley Workman found out first hand what can happen when you are in close proximity to a very loud noise. While doing a sound check in Paris, a loud burst of volume from the stage monitor blew out Workman's right ear. The accident put a temporary hiatus to Hawksley fulfilling his last name. Under doctor's orders Workman had to cancel the remainder of his European tour. The April 5 concert in Banff has also been cancelled, but Workman will perform the remainder of his Canadian shows.

Workman will be in attendance at the 2004 Juno Awards in Edmonton on April 4. He is up for the Songwriter of the Year Award. Workman is also scheduled to present one of the awards.

April 8 Calgary
April 10 Vancouver
April 11 Victoria
April 14 Edmonton
April 15 Saskatoon
April 16 Regina
