New Pornographers Hit the Road

Published: 2006-10-10
Canadian indie rockers the New Pornographers are readying their next record as they hit the road.

With the critical acclaim of their previous records behind them, the New Pornographers are beginning work on their fourth as-yet-untitled album.

The new record comes at a time when the band's contract with their indie record label comes to an end but they aren't about to change labels.

"Most of us really do want to stay indie," New Pornographers' chief songwriter Carl Newman told ChartAttack.

The band is also hitting the road still touring behind their Polaris Prize nominated release Twin Cinema with Novillero and Immaculate Machine. The band has already hit Ottawa's Capital Music Hall and will be in Montreal tonight. Here's where else they're headed:

October 10, Montreal, QC - Club Soda
October 11, Toronto, ON - Kool Haus
October 14, Winnipeg, MB - Marlborough
October 15, Regina, SK - Distrikt
October 16, Saskatoon, SK - Odeon Event Centre
October 17, Edmonton, AB - Red's
October 18, Calgary, AB - MacEwan Hall Ballroom
October 20, Victoria, BC - Sugar
October 21-22, Vancouver, BC - Plaza Club
