Five Reunite With Four Members

Published: 2006-09-29
Five years to the day since they parted ways, British boy band Five announced their reunion this week.

This time around, however, there will only be four boys.

Five formed in 1997 through an audition for a boy band with "attitude and edge" from the same creators of the Spice Girls. The original mates included Scott Robinson, Ritchie Neville, Jason 'J' Brown, Richard 'Abz' Breen and Sean Conlon. The band quickly gained international popularity with hits like "When The Lights Go Out," "Everybody Get Up," "If Ya Gettin' Down" and "We Will Rock You," recorded with Queen.

The band called in quits on Sept. 27, 2001 on MTV Select in London. They sold 20 million records worldwide in their five years active. The boys have reunited without Sean Conlon, who is working on a solo career.
