Surfer musician Xavier Rudd is taking his latest record on the road.
After meeting and marrying a Vancouverite, he has divided his time between Canada and Australia. Though the singer and multi-instrumentalist has developed a rootsy mellow style to his songwriting, he is best known for his dynamic live shows.
Playing basically as a one man band on everything from the guitar to the didgeridoo, he has become a regular at music festivals like the New Year's Eve Falls Festival in Australia, FloydFest in the US and the Ottawa Bluesfest.
This fall he is touring behind his 2005 release Food in the Belly, spending October in Europe and November - December in North America. Here are his Canadian stops:
November 17, Ottawa, ON - Bronson Centre
November 18, Montreal, QC - Metropolis
November 20, Toronto, ON - Kool Haus
November 21, London, ON - Centennial Hall
November 24, Winnipeg, MB - Burton Cummings Theatre
November 26, Banff, AB - Eric Harvey Theatre
November 28, Edmonton, AB - Winspear

December 4, Whistler, BC - Whistler Conference Centre
