Singer-songwriter PJ Harvey is marking the second anniversary of the death of radio DJ John Peel by releasing an album of songs recorded with the legendary BBC Radio 1 broadcaster.

PJ Harvey - The Peel Sessions 1991 - 2004 will be released on October 23 by Island Records and the BBC. Harvey, or Polly Jean, picked the 12 tracks to appear on the commemorative record, choosing songs from her debut album, 1992's Dry to her latest release, 2004's Uh Huh Her.

Harvey's official site revealed that Peel's past producer, Lousie Kattenhorn said, "John loved the sessions and was thrilled to have Polly record so many for his show. He considered her a wonderful artist and they were great friends. It's fantastic that they're coming out on CD."
