Jeremy Fisher Hits the Road

Published: 2006-08-31
Just because he hasn't started recording his next album is no reason why singer-songwriter and Vancouverite Jeremy Fisher can't hit the road.

Just after the release of his first record Back Porch Spirituals Fisher headed out on the "One Less Bus Tour" where he bicycled across the country with a guitar on his back. We can only assume that his upcoming tour will not be on a bike because getting from Victoria, BC to Waterloo, ON in one day may be difficult on two wheels.

He will open a couple of dates on the West Coast for Great Big Sea before heading off to do some headlining shows in Ontario and Quebec.

After taking a spin around the country doing a few shows, Fisher will head into the studio to record the follow-up to his 2004 record Let it Shine. Joined in the studio by fellow Canadian singer-songwriter Hawksley Workman, Fisher will work on his first record for Aquarius Records.

Maybe you'll catch some of his new tunes on the road:

September 1 Vancouver, BC - Malkin Bowl w/Great Big Sea
September 4 Victoria, BC - Centennial Square w/Great Big Sea
September 5 Waterloo, ON - Laurel Creek Bonfire
September 6 Wakefield, QC - Blacksheep Inn w/Danny Michel
September 8 Toronto, ON - Rivoli w/Bernard Fanning
September 9 London, ON - London Music Club
September 13 Waterloo, ON - Bombshelter (University Of Waterloo)
September 16 Whistler, BC - Paralympic Emblem Launch
