New York glam rock band the Scissor Sisters are set to play an AIDS benefit in London.

Taking place in Trafalgar Square on September 16, fans can get tickets for free. The concert is a joint project with MOTOSLVR to promote their new red handset. According to Billboard, beginning August 18 for ten days "fans must text the world "MOTORED" to number 80855 at a cost of $2.80 (US) for tickets."

Proceeds from the concert will go to RED, an anti-AIDS Campaign with which U2 frontman Bono is currently involved.

The Scissor Sisters are currently promoting their newest record Ta-Dah, which will hit UK stores on September 18 and North American stores on September 26. Though the band is American they gained much of their fan base in the UK.
