Delirious? Drummer Joins Ironman Triathlon for Charity

UK rockers Delirious? will be releasing Now is the Time: Live at Willow Creek on October 17, but drummer Stew Smith has training on his mind this month as he will be joining the Ironman Triathlon for charity. Here is his message to fans:

"I suppose we're used to traveling quite a long way in a day. So in some ways the 20th of August this year is no big deal; I'll be covering about 140 miles. The only difference is that it's my legs alone that are going to be doing the carrying. This is my first Ironman Triathlon, and I'll be in Sherbourne, Dorset for the 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and full 26.2 mile marathon. How do I feel? Scared. Very scared. But there's a bigger picture that I've got in mind... I want to raise money to help two amazing charities I know: Links international - They work to empower others to achieve their own destiny. Primary Health Care and Micro-enterprise Development are just two of the ways that are having a huge impact. The Wire - A local charity that provides practical, creative and accessible activities for children, young people and families in Littlehampton, UK. These two charities are great examples of people making a difference in the lives of those who need it."
