Evanescence 'Open Door' to the road

Published: 2006-08-14
Alternative rockers Evanescence are hitting the road in support of their most recent album The Open Door.

The record, due out October 3, is preceded by their first single "Call Me When You're Sober" which lead singer Amy Lee revealed was about her personal experiences with former boyfriend, Seether singer Shaun Morgan. The band has undergone numerous shuffles since their last album 2003's Fallen.

In 2003 principle guitarist and songwriter Ben Moody abruptly left the band and was replaced by Terry Balsamo from Cold. Earlier this year bassist Will Boyd also parted ways with Evanescence and was replaced by former Revolution Smile guitarist Tim McCord.

In spite of all the re-shuffling fans are anxiously awaiting the release of The Open Door as well as the tour behind it. It will make its way all over North America throughout the month of October but begin right here in Canada. Here's where they're headed:

October 5, Toronto, ON - Kool Haus
October 6, Montreal, QC - Metropolis
