P.O.D. part with Atlantic

San Diego metal, rap, reggae, rockers P.O.D. have parted ways with their record label.

In an e-mail statement to their fans the band said, "We've been proud to be Atlantic Recording Artists, but it's not the same place anymore. For most of our stay, we were blessed by a staff that was gracious towards our vision, faith, and love of music....resulting in more than 7-million records sold. It's time to dream again with a new staff and we leave with grateful hearts."

The parting may have to do with album sales on their most recent release Testify which came out earlier this year. Though the album sold thousands of copies it still lags far behind past albums like the Fundamental Elements of Southtown and Satellite which went platinum and triple platinum respectively.

No word on what label the band plans to sign to in the future.
