Published: 2006-08-11
Illinois rockers Jars of Clay are set to release their self-produced CD, Good Monsters in less than a month, but fans in the US who haven't heard "Dead Man (Carry Me)" enough can purchase the Mini Monsters EP from iTunes USA. The three tracks included are "Dead Man (Carry Me)", "Work", and an added bonus, "Love Me" which is only available on the Mini Monsters EP.

Don't worry Canadian fans, you can still listen to key tracks on Jars of Clay's MySpace in the meantime, and for XM 32 listeners you're bound to hear "Dead Man (Carry Me)" at least once on the drive home from work until the official album release on September 5. Also joining the guys on the album is Leigh Nash on the track "Mirrors and Smoke", Kate York, and the African Children's Choir also make an appearance.

Canadian fans can catch the band tonight at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, MI, our West Coasters can drive out to Monroe, WA on August 27, 7:30pm for the Evergreen State Fair, and later on November 9, 8pm at Houghton College in Houghton, NY the band performs for Western New Yorkers and Ontarians alike.

Jars of Clay is not from illinois- not sure where the writer got the idea. If Jars is from any one state, it's Tennessee, where they have been recording (and to the best of my knowledge, living) since the first album.

Editor's note: While many bands flock to Tennessee to live and record, Jars of Clay were formed in 1993 at the Illinois' Greenville College by Dan Haseltine and keyboardist Charlie Lowell.
