The largest green music festival in Canada is heading for Nova Scotia next weekend.

From August 4-6 on a farm just out of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, 65 bands will perform on three stages for the Evolve Festival.

According to a press release, the electronic festival isn't just any music fest.

"Evolve is an independent festival that operates with no corporate sponsorship. It is entirely dedicated to sustainable environmental stewardship and is the largest festival of its kind in Canada."

The festival is committed to utilizing renewable energy sources, reducing waste and using recycled paper and biodegradable products.

The organizers are expecting over 5000 visitors to the festival, which will feature a slew of talent from Canada and all over the world. Acts gracing the Evolve stages include k-os, Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, Mike Gordon of Phish, Wassabi Collective, King Sunshine and DJ Sneakójust to name a few.

Whether you come for the music or the environmental cause you're sure to have a blast. Tickets are $95 online and $110 at the gate.
