Canadian pop singer Daniel Powter has the top selling digital song of all time according to LiveDaily.

His single "Bad Day" has logged 1.7 million digital downloads since its release. The tune is from Powter's self-titled debut disc.

The hit single began topping the charts in Europe in mid-2005 before coming back home to Canada to top the charts here. Most recently the song has gone to number one in the United States.

Along with massive amounts of radio play, the song played during the NBA Playoffs, was featured on the fifth season of American Idol and is also in a European Coke commercial.

His second single has varied from "Jimmy Gets High," "Free Loop" and "Lie To Me" depending on what part of the world you live in. None of them have yet to match the success of "Bad Day."

Powter is amazing, he manages to connect with every age & gender. We should all be proud of this fellow Canadian singer songwriter.
