Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Who rock US V Fest

After announcing that the UK's popular V Festival is crossing the pond into Canada, Sir Richard Branson also announced a V Fest counterpart in Baltimore this fall.

Taking place on September 23 at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, the US version of the V Festival has just announced the acts playing and they are every bit as high caliber as the acts at the UK festival (Radiohead, Morrissey, Fatboy Slim ) and the Canadian version (Massive Attack, Sam Roberts Band, Alexisonfire).

Acts to the US V Fest include, The Who, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Killers, Gnarls Barkley, The Flaming Lips, The Raconteurs, Scissor Sisters, Keane, Thievery Corporation, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The New Pornographers, Wolfmother, Kasabian and much more.

The day long festival features two stages and a DJ tent. Tickets to the fest will go on sale July 22 and cost $97.50 US for general admission for the day.

The original UK version of the fest will take place August 19-20 while the Canadian version will take place September 9-10 in Toronto.
