Weezer calls it quits?

After finally graduating from Harvard and getting married, it looks like Rivers Cuomo is getting ready to turn over a new leaf in life without Weezer.

The alternative rockers, who have been together since 1992, look like they're calling it quitsˇat least for now.

According to an interview with MTV Cuomo said, "Really, for the moment, we are done. And I'm not certain we'll ever make a record again, unless it becomes really obvious to me that we need to do one."

Currently in Japan with his new wife Kyoko Ito, Cuomo seems to have distanced himself from the rest of the band saying, "Well, the band is all back in Los Angeles, and I sometimes I speak with Patrick, and I occasionally e-mail with Brian and Scott, but we've never mentioned getting together."

But this isn't the first time rumors have swirled about Weezer's end. Upon the release of their 2005 album Make Believe rumors started after Cuomo used a passage from Shakespeare's "The Tempest" in the liner notes which many fans thought may have suggested a farewell.

Also, last year guitarist Brian Bell told NME, "We have no idea if we're going to be in a band next year."

Weezer has released five full-length albums and Make Believe was the highest charting, hitting #2 on the Billboard charts.
