Lemonheads release first record in a decade

Published: 2006-07-10
Indie alternative punk band the Lemonheads are getting ready to release their first new album in 10 years.

Though the lineup for the band has changed several times since its inception in the eighties, the one constant is frontman Evan Dando. The band's first commercial success came with their 1992 album It's a Shame About Ray behind a cover of "Mrs. Robinson" recorded to promote the video release of the film The Graduate.

After their 1996 record Car Button Cloth the band went their separate ways and little was heard from them until the release of Dando's solo record in 2003.

In 2005 the Lemonheads quietly reunited and put together a brand new self-titled disc set to be released September 26 on indie label Vagrant Records. The first single "Become the Enemy" is set to be released September 18.

Here are the other tracks on the new record:

"Black Gown"
"Become the Enemy"
"Let's Just Laugh"
"Rule of Three"
"No Backbone"
"Baby's Home"
"In Passing"
"Steve's Boy"
