American alternative rockers Live are heading for Canada this summer.

The band rose to success in the nineties with their album Throwing Copper which spawned hits like "I Alone" and "Lightning Crashes." Last month the band released their seventh studio LP Songs From Black Mountain which they're taking on the road.

The band will begin their North American trek here in Canada stopping at Cisco Systems Bluesfest in Ottawa, the Festival D'Ete Int'l de Quebec and the Salmon Splash Festival in Newfoundland. After half a dozen Canadian dates the band will round out the remainder of the summer in the US.

Here's where they're stopping in Canada:

July 12, Ottawa, ON - Cisco Systems Bluesfest
July 14, Quebec City, QC - Festival D'Ete Int'l de Quebec
July 15, Grand Falls, NL - Salmon Splash Festival
July 16, Halifax, NS - Halifax Metro Centre
July 18, Montreal, QC - Jacques Cartier Pier
July 19, Toronto, ON - Massey Hall
