Carly Simon gets ŽInto WhiteŪ

Published: 2006-07-06
Famed singer-songwriter Carly Simon is set to release her second album of standards and lullabies.

Her new record Into White is named after the Cat Stevens tune the songstress covers on the record. Her last album, 2005's Moonlight Serenade was similarly a record of covers and reached the top 10 on the Billboard music charts.

Known for her pop and folk-rock styles, Simon made a name for herself in the seventies with tunes like "You're So Vain," "Nobody Does it Better" and "Anticipation."

Aside from a pile of old classics, Simon pens two new songs for the record, "Love of My Life" and "Quiet Evening." Another highlight on the record is a cover of her ex-husband James Taylor's "You Can Close Your Eyes," sung with their children Sally and Ben Taylor.

Here's what else will be on the record:

"Oh! Susanna"
"All I Have To Do Is Dream"/"Devoted To You"
"Into White"
"Over the Rainbow"
"Hush Little Baby/My Bonnie"
"I Gave My Love a Cherry (The Riddle Song)"
"You Can Close Your Eyes"
"Jamaica Farewell"/"You Are My Sunshine"
"Manha de Carnaval"
"Scarborough Fair"
"Love of My Life"
"Quiet Evening"
