New Killers album on the horizon

Brandon Flowers, lead singer of the rock act the Killers, has divulged details on their new, still untitled album. The singer told that their sophomore album is near completion.
"For me, this is the album," Flowers says. "I feel totally empowered by singing it. There's a spiritual element to the music that wasn't there before." Flowers was also quoted as saying that this new album will be the best album of the past twenty years.
The Killers formed in 2002 and are most notably recognized for their new wave-tinged sound borrowed from the 1980s from such bands like the Cure, New Order and the Smiths. Their debut album, Hot Fuss, which was released in 2004, went on to sell 3 million copies worldwide, which is in thanks to their singles, "Mr. Brightside," "All These Things That I've Done" and "Somebody Told Me."
The band is currently working with producers Flood and Alan Moulder. Their new album, which will be heavily influenced by Bruce Springsteen, is tentatively slated to hit record store shelves by September 18.
