Jonny Lang experiences ëTurn Aroundí on new record

Published: 2006-06-30
Singer-songwriter Jonny Lang is heading in a different direction with his new record Turn Around.

The album, set for release on September 19, reaches into his spiritual side. Being released to both the secular and Christian market, Lang's follow-up to 2003's Long Time Coming digs back into his roots.

The young, critically acclaimed artist works with a bevy of talented musicians on his upcoming release. Lang sings a duet with blue-eyed soul singer Michael McDonald on "Thankful." Musicians Sam Bush and Buddy Miller join Lang on mandolin and guitar respectively for "On That Great Day" and Nickel Creek violinist Sara Watkins lends her talent to "Only A Man." But Watkins' performance may be overshadowed by the sweet duet by Lang and his wife Haylie.

This summer Lang will be heading out on an American tour and though there aren't any Canadian dates, here are a few places not too far from the 49th parallel that you may want to skip to:

July 17-18, Milwaukee, WI - Potawatomi
July 20, Grand Rapids, MI - Meijer Gardens
