'Barenaked Ladies are Me' to be released this September

The Barenaked Ladies have gone back to their indie roots with their new record Barenaked Ladies Are Me.

The Canadian quintet is preparing their new CD for a September 12 release. The follow-up to their 2004 holiday disc will be released on the band's own independent label Desperation Records. The band has been on major label Reprise Records since 1995 but was on indie labels prior to that in Canada.

The new disc will come out in two formats - the regular CD with 13 tracks and a couple of bonus tracks in the digital version and according to ChartAttack, a 27-song package called Barenaked Ladies Are Me: Deluxe Edition, which will also be available in stores on a limited basis. There's no word yet from the band on what tracks will make up the deluxe version.

But here are the tracks that will be on the regular disc:

"Bank Job"
"Sound Of Your Voice"
"Bull In A China Shop"
"Everything Had Changed"
"Peterborough And The Kawarthas"
"Maybe You're Right"
"Take It Back"
"Rule The World With Love"
"Wind It Up"

The first single from the disc, "Easy" will drop on radio airwaves July 17. But if you want to purchase it in digi format, it comes in a three-track pack available now at iTunes and includes these tunes:

"Wind It Up"
"Home (Live From The Glenn Gould Theatre)"
