Creation Northeast Festival moved to 2007

The Creation Northeast Festival which was getting ready to be held June 28- July 1 will be postponed until next year.

The nation's largest annual gathering place for top Christian recording artists and speakers (75,000+) was set to take place at the Agape Farm in Pennsylvania. The five day festival was to include some of the biggest names in Christian music including Relient K, Jeremy Camp, Toby Mac, Casting Crowns, Audio Adrenaline and Newsboys just to name a few.

Unfortunately this year there will be no Creation Northeast Festival, according to a statement by Pastor Harry Thomas festival director, "Due to large amounts of rain that have fallen in the past 48 hours and the additional heavy rain fall that is expected this week, Creation 2006 Northeast, scheduled for June 28-July 1, has been postponed until June 27-June 30 2007. This difficult decision has been made after much prayer and consideration. The Festival Administration, in conjunction with local Emergency Management, has concluded that the grounds are not safe for Creation attendees."

The statement went on to ensure that tickets for Creation 2006 would be honoured at Creation 2007 but no word on whether the same bands would play at next year's festival. Thankfully, Creation Northwest Festival is still scheduled at the Gorge Amphitheater for July 26-29 in George, WA.
