Alternative hip-hop group G. Love & Special Sauce is getting ready to release a 'hot' album this summer.

Lemonade is the seventh full-length studio release for G.Love, aka frontman Garrett Dutton, & Special Sauce, made up of bassist Jimi Prescott and drummer Jeffrey Clemens.

The band released their self titled debut in 1994 but didn't really start to make waves until their 1999 record Philadelphonic that featured a song by the then unknown Jack Johnson. The tune "Rodeo Clowns" eventually also ended up on Johnson's 2003 release On and On.

In 2004 G.Love and co. switched labels to join Johnson's Brushfire Records which is where they will release Lemonade on August 1st.

The record is preceded by the band's first single "Hot Cookin" which will be hitting radio "soon" according to their official MySpace and be available for sale at digital music retailers on June 20th. The record also includes appearances by Jack Johnson, Ben Harper and Marc Broussard.

But if you absolutely can't wait to hear the new single you can check it out on their official website or MySpace right now, http://www.myspace.com/glovespecialsauce.
