Decemberists prep new LP and release EP

Indie pop group the Decemberists are getting ready to release their first record on a major label this October.
The Crane Wife the band's fourth full-length CD will be on Capitol Records. According to ChartAttack, "The band are currently working on the album in their hometown of Portland, Oregon. They've written 22 songs, some of them more than 10 minutes long, that they're trying to whittle down to LP length."
The new disc isn't due out till October 3rd, but the band has just released an EP of tunes featuring b-sides and outtakes from the band's last record Picaresque. The EP titled Picaresqueties is available on iTunes and includes these tunes:

"Bandit Queen (w/DT)"
"Bridges & Balloons"
"Constantinople"
"Kingdom Of Spain"
"Bandit Queen"
