The Weakerthans reach ëImpossible Distancesí

Published: 2006-06-09
It's been awhile since Winnipeg-based indie rockers the Weakerthans have released an album but that's not stopping them from taking their tunes to the fans.

Though the band hasn't released an album since 2003's Reconstruction Site they're heading out on the road.

Dubbed the "Impossible Distances Tour", the band will be joined by bands like Raising the Fawn, Greg Graffin and The New Amsterdams on the North American leg of the tour. They will also open for the Tragically Hip in Guelph, St. Adele and at their Fort York shows in Toronto this June.

After spending June and July in North America they will continue their trek in Europe in August.

But here's where you can see them in Canada:

June 18: Guelph, ON @ GRCA Guelph Lake Conservation Area
June 19: London, ON @ Call The Office
June 20: Ottawa, ON @ The New Capital Music Hall
June 22: Hamilton, ON @ The Underground
June 23: Toronto, ON @ Fort York
June 24: Toronto, ON @ Fort York
July 29: Toronto, ON @ Harbour Front
