Keaneís ëUnder the Iron Seaí leaks

Published: 2006-06-08
Mellow UK alt-rockers Keane's newest record has found its way online prior to release.

The follow up to the band's 2004 release Hopes and Fears was set to hit stores both online and off on June 12th worldwide and then on June 20th in North America but it made an early appearance. According to NME Under the Iron Sea was made "available to download from iTunes Belgium two weeks early. As a result, fans flocked to the site to get a copy."

Parts of the album had already been 'leaked' by the band itself with tunes like "Nothing In My Way", "Try Again" and "Hamburg Song" being played by the band on tour in 2005. The first single "Atlantic" was released via a download-only music video on April 25th while the second single "Is It Any Wonder?" was released on May 29th.

But we'll have to wait until June 12th to see whether the leak has any effect on record sales.
