Christina Aguilera doubles up for New CD

Published: 2006-06-07
At Saturday's MTV Movie Awards, Christina Aguilera revealed that her upcoming sixth album called Back to Basics will in fact be a double album.
The follow up to her album Stripped will show a different side of Aguilera that her fans aren't accustomed to seeing, which will include a 1920s, 30s, and 40s burlesque sound.
The first half of the album will be a throwback to that era with a little bit of jazz, blues and soul. Aguilera worked with producer DJ Premier on the first half of the album. For the second disc, though, Aguilera worked with producer Linda Perry. Perry also helped produce Aguilera's previous album, Stripped.
Aguilera is thrilled with the outcome of her new album. What was suppose to be a spring release has now officially been pushed back to late summeróAugust 15th to be exact.
