Audio Adrenaline say ŽAdiosŪ with a final album

Published: 2006-06-05
Even though American rockers Audio Adrenaline have to say goodbye they're making sure to do it with a bang.

The band that released their first self-titled album in 1992 came together after meeting at Kentucky Christian College a few years before. Since then they've gone on to make ten full-length albums, win four Dove Awards and two Grammys. Earlier this year the rockers announced the end of their run due to vocal challenges for frontman Mark Stuart that would make him unable to perform in the future.

But they're not going out quietly. Earlier this year the band won their second of two consecutive Grammys for Best Rock Gospel Album for their 2003 album Worldwide and then for their 2005 release Until My Heart Caves In.

They'll also be on the road until the end, doing a smattering of tour dates throughout the summer at major music fests followed by a full American tour with MercyMe in the fall. The tour will unfortunately not include any Canadian dates.

Lastly, on August 1st the band will release Adios: The Greatest Hits a compilation of the band's best along with a couple of new tunes including a cover of the Alarm's "Blaze of Glory" and their new single "Goodbye" that will be released June 9th.

A special edition DVD will also be released with Adios including a cover of Charlie Peacock's "Down in the Lowlands" plus the band's videos, live performances, band interviews and testaments from other bands that have been impacted by Audio Adrenaline.

Here are the tracks on Audio Adrenaline's last goodbye:

"Big House"
"We're A Band"
"Never Gonna Be As Big As Jesus"
"Some Kind Of Zombie"
"Get Down"
"Hands And Feet"
"Mighty Good Leader"
"Ocean Floor"
"Blaze Of Glory"
"Leaving 99"
"Starting Over"
