Ani DiFranco adds more Tour Dates

Published: 2006-06-02
Singer-songwriter Ani DiFranco is ready to get back on the road.
The musician who has released 17 albums since her start in 1990 has tirelessly toured and recorded since the beginning of her career, until July of last year when she decided to take a year off to recover from tendonitis.
But she didn't completely quit the scene, doing a show in April at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
She will begin touring in earnest this month at the Bridgeton Folk Festival in Bridgeton, New Jersey. In the middle of her tour, which is set to run till September, DiFranco will release her new album, the follow up to last year's Knuckle Down. Entitled Reprieve it's set to hit store shelves August 8th.
Though her Canadian tour was originally only going to hit Alberta, the dates have expanded to include a few more stops:
July 8, Montreal, QC - Spectrum de Montreal
July 9, Ottawa, ON - Cisco Systems Bluesfest
July 28, Edmonton, AB - The Winspear Centre
July 30, Calgary, AB- Calgary Folk Music Festival
August 11, Regina, SK - Regina Folk Festival
