On July 1st people all over Canada will be celebrating the birthday of this great country but if you're a Canadian in London, England missing your Timmy's and two-four's, you won't be missing out on the festivities either.

On June 30th (let's call it Canada Day eve) London will be celebrating Canada day in Trafalgar Square with Canadian activities and musical acts throughout the day.

At 2:00pm Trafalgar Square will be host to "Canadian food, arts and crafts, street performers, tourism attractions and other activities" according to the Canada Day in London website along with a good old game of street hockey.

Later that evening the Square will host 'Canada On Stage' which will deliver a bevy of Canadian musicians from all different genres. Performers include the likes of singer-songwriter Ron Sexsmith, who has gained admirers that include Coldplay's Chris Martin, Elton John, Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan. Also on hand will be folk-country rocker Alana Levandoski, Albertan hip hop dance artist Raghav, Halifax five-piece The Heavy Blinkers and SXSW performer Leeroy Stagger. The show begins at 5:00pm.

The event is free so Londoners and Canadians alike are welcome to celebrate Canada's national holidayÖ eh.
