Gnarls Barkley drop out at the Top

After making history for being the first band to hit number one on the UK charts based solely on digital sales Gnarls Barkely's star just keeps on rising.

The musical duo, made up of rapper Cee-Lo and DJ Danger Mouse, hit number one with their single "Crazy" and have stayed there ever since.

But now after nine consecutive weeks at the top of the charts the band is bowing out of the chart race. Warner Music, Gnarls Barkley's record company announced on May 29 that they will not be shipping any more copies of the CD single for "Crazy." The first single from the band's debut album St. Elsewhere has already sold about 500 000 copies and 200 000 digital downloads.

But never fear the band is coming out with a new single on July 17 called "Smiley Faces."

I love gnarls. He has an old school feel with a young voice. British musicians are so enriched in such influential musicians in music culture. I applaud you.
