Arctic Monkeys Switch Bassist in North America

Published: 2006-05-24
On the brink of their latest tour of North America one of the members of UK indie rock sensations the Arctic Monkeys has bowed out.

According to a statement the band says, "Owing to fatigue following an intensive period of touring Andy Nicholson shall be taking a rest and will not be accompanying Arctic Monkeys on their forth coming tour of North America."

The band also mentioned that Nick O'Malley would be standing in for Nicholson and added, "We all wish Andy a speedy recovery."

The Arctic Monkeys tour begins and ends in Canada, starting in Vancouver on May 27 and wrapping up with dates in Montreal and Toronto on June 16 and 17.
