Thom Yorke Goes it Alone

Published: 2006-05-16
Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke is releasing an album all by himself, but don't call it a solo record.

According to Reuters in a message Yorke left on W.A.S.T.E., a Radiohead fansite, he said, "I don't wanna hear that word solo. Doesn't sound right." Nonetheless the album The Eraser will be released in July without the other members of Radiohead.

In spite of his unaccompanied release he remains busy with the other members of the band. Currently in the process of putting together a record the band is heading out on the road for a bit of a tour in small-ish venues to test out some of their new tracks. The tour will include two stops each in Toronto and Montreal this summer.

But if you don't get a chance to catch the band on tour here's what you'll have to look forward to on The Eraser:

"The Eraser"
"The Clock"
"Black Swan"
"Skip Divided"
"Atoms for Peace"
"And It Rained All Night"
"Harrowdown Hill"
Cymbal Rush"
