Wilco plans to spend a big chunk of their summer tour here in Canada.

The contemporary rockers known for their country influence formed in the mid-90's and have been enjoying success ever since, their most successful being 2002's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.

Though frontman Jeff Tweedy spent most of last year touring solo, the band is back with a handful of tour dates this summer, the majority of which are in Canada:

June 28 - Calgary, AB - McEwan Hall
June 29 - Edmonton, AB - Jubilee Auditorium
July 1 - Winnipeg, MB - Burton Cummings Theatre
July 7 - Toronto, ON - Massey Hall
July 8 - London, ON - Centennial Hall
July 10 - Montreal, QC - Metropolis
July 12 - Halifax, NS - Alderney Landing
July 13 - Fredericton, NB - Playhouse
July 15 - Ottawa, ON - Ottawa Bluesfest

In August the band will also make a stop in Chicago for the Lollapalooza festival.

Currently the band is also working on some new material and though they are only in the writing and demo stages of their upcoming album, fans will likely begin to hear some new material on their summer tour.
