Clor are no More

Published: 2006-05-12
Members of UK electropop group Clor have decided to go their separate ways.

Clor released their one and only album, a self-titled disc, last year in the UK to critical praise. It sparked singles like "Love and Pain" and "Good Stuff", but apparently the music successes weren't enough to keep the band together.

The split was announced in a statement by the band's manager in a statement according to NME, "Clor, a band for whom musical differences surely seemed to be the whole point, have nonetheless succumbed to the hoariest of rock n' roll fates and decided not to be a pop group anymore. Unable to reconcile the yin and yang of wanting to be both wildly creative and chart-bothering, they will leave a big, uniquely C.L.O.R. - shaped hole in the all-to-generic world of guitar/electronic music."

Though the band is no more they will be releasing their debut disc in America in the near future.

The statement also mentioned that vocalist/guitarists Barry Dobbin and Luke Smith will still likely still be making music but no details were given of future plans.
