Charlie Hall Says 'End the War'

Published: 2006-04-29
Oklahoma-based musician Charlie Hall and the non-profit organization Invisible
Children Inc. are calling for a global protest against the war in Northern
Uganda. Along with 130 cities around the world people will be lying down in
front of government buildings and the like today (Saturday April 29) as a
representation of all of the lives that were and will be lost if this continues
in Uganda as it has been.

The Northern Uganda war is the longest running war in Africa and has forced
children to fight brutally as soldiers. Hall and Invisible Children have
partnered to create his first video from his January 2006 release, Flying
Into Daybreak
. The video features footage from the Invisible Children:
rough cut
documentary that tells the story of the unseen effects of a
20-year war on the children of Northern Uganda.

For those in the Oklahoma City area, their Global Night Commute with Charlie
Hall will be held on the south lawn of the Capitol Building, 2300 N Lincoln Blvd
#212, Oklahoma City, OK.
