Pilate used to be Toronto's best kept secret, but not these days..
Formed in 1999, the band quickly gained a following in Canada's biggest largest city, first by being named best unsigned band at the 2002 NXNE festival, and then following it up with the 2003 release of their debut album Caught by the Window.
Last week (April 25 to be exact) the band released their sophomore album, Sell Control for Life's Speed, in Canada., iIt will be out in American stores on May 2. Since the release the band has been touring in Ontario, and is set to do a full- out Canadian tour this summer.
They will be hitting the road with Halifax indie band Wintersleep and Welsh jazz-rock fusion quintet People in Planes this summer.
