Goo Goo Dolls Tour with Counting Crows

Published: 2006-04-27
If you miss the good old days of nineties alternative rock then you won't want to miss the Goo Goo Dolls heading out on the road with the Counting Crows.

Both bands made a name for themselves in the nineties, the Goos with hits like "Iris" and "Slide" and the Crows with tunes like "Mr. Jones" and "A Long December." Since then both bands have been continuing to put out albums and make the road their home.

The Goos recently released their record Let Love In, which is the follow up to 2002's Gutterflower. The record has already spawned some radio friendly tunes like "Better Days" and more recently, "Stay With You."

The Crows on the other hand have not released a studio record since 2002, their last being Hard Candy. They did, however, release a 'best of' set in 2003, known as Films About Ghosts.

Counting Crows fans will be happy to hear that lead singer Adam Duritz recently eluded to some new material on the horizon. In a comment on the band's website in March he said that, "Things are brewing. We will, in all likelihood, be seeing you soon. We may even see the inside of a studio soon. Things are stirring."

Though there has been no official word on whether a new record is on its way, the summer tour is definitely a go. The pair of bands be doing a rather extensive run of North America, but unfortunately will only make one Canadian stop. Details are listed below.

July 24, Toronto, ON - Molson Amphitheatre
