Guess Who's Back

Published: 2006-04-17
Two of Canada's most prolific singer songwriters are teaming up for an album of their bests.

The Bachman Cummings Songbook includes hits by Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman from the Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive and Cummings' solo stuff.

The duo came together in the Canadian rock group the Guess Who in the 1960's churning out hits like "These Eyes", "Laughing" and "American Woman" which was the first Canadian rock song to hit number 1 on the American charts.

Later the band went their separate ways and Bachman formed a new group, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, while Cummings went solo, but both maintained their strong songwriting prowess. In 2000, four of the five original members came back together for a cross-Canada tour.
