Country singer and American icon Willie Nelson will be criss-crossing Canada on his upcoming North American tour.
Making records since the 1970's, Nelson was best known for his contributions to the outlaw country movement, fueling a shift from the soft country sounds that were penetrating Nashville at the time. Nelson, along with Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash, eventually took outlaw country to the top of the charts.
Continuing to avoid the norm, Nelson's latest album Countryman, which was released last July, is a reggae-country album that fuses reggae standards with Nelson originals.
Willie will be taking his live show out to 14 Canadian venues throughout April and May, and then he plans to head back down South for a few more shows in the US.
