Arctic Monkeys Swing Across The Atlantic

Published: 2006-04-13
The British hype machine's current victim - the Arctic Monkeys - will be heading back on the road in North America.

After releasing the fastest-selling debut album in British history, the hype machine is beginning to follow the Arctic Monkeys across the pond. Still touring behind their debut release Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I am Not, the Monkeys are also stopping by the Sasquatch Festival on their upcoming tour.

When they're done here in North America the band will head on over to Europe and Australia, followed by a couple of dates in Japan this August. Then it's right back to the UK for the Reading and Leeds Festivals, officially known as the Carling Weekend. In short, the boys have a busy few months ahead of them.

Here are the planned Canadian stops this summer:

May 27, Vancouver, BC - Commodore Ballroom
June 16, Montreal, QC - Le Medley
June 17, Toronto, ON - Kool Haus
